O Atelier Valéria Fernandez convida para o Workshop de Pintura com o artista Luiz Vilela em São Paulo nos dias 12 e 13 de outubro de 2015.

"Pintura do retrato com modelo vivo" (Conceitos e métodos de pintura figurativa)
Este workshop de pintura intensivo oferece as informações fundamentais necessárias para pintar o retrato em cores. O aluno (todos os níveis são bem vindos) terá uma sólida compreensão dos objetivos do workshop que poderão ser usados como um guia para a prática futura individual.

Luiz Vilela é artista plástico radicado nos EUA. Estudou no Pratt Institute em Nova York, Art Students League of New York, e Studio Incamminati na Filadélfia. Luiz praticou pintura com os artistas David Leffel, Richard Schmid, Nelson Shanks, Jeremy Lipking, Ronald Sherr, Robert Liberace, entre outros. Sua obra é exibida localmente e internacionalmente e ganhou vários prêmios inclusive os prêmios de Melhor Retrato e Prêmio de Aquisição no Art Renewal Center • 2013/2014 International ARC Salon Competition e é finalista no mesmo salão neste ano de 2014/2015.

Atelier Valeria Fernandez is announcing a painting workshop with Luiz Vilela in São Paulo, Brazil • October 12 & 13, 2015.
"Portrait painting with live model" (concepts and methods of figurative painting)
This intensive painting workshop provides the essential information needed to paint the portrait in color. Students (all levels are welcome) will have a solid understanding of the goals of the workshop which could be used as a guide for future practice.

Luiz Vilela is an artist living in the US. He studied at Pratt Institute in New York, Art Students League of New York, and Studio Incamminati in Philadelphia. Luiz practiced painting with the artists David Leffel, Richard Schmid, Nelson Shanks, Jeremy Lipking, Ronald Sherr, Robert Liberace, among others. His work has been exhibited locally and internationally and had won several awards including awards for Best Portrait and Acquisition Prize in the Art Renewal Center • 2013/2014 International ARC Salon Competition; and he is a finalist this year, as well.

Uma releitura de William Bouguereau

Gabrielle Cot fue la hija de Pierre Auguste Cot. Una carta de la madre de la artista a su hija Henriette de 1890 nos informa de que William-Adolphe Bouguereau ha sido invitado a cenar con motivo de la boda de Gabrielle con un arquitecto llamado Zilin. Este retrato fue un regalo de Bouguereau a Mme. Duret con motivo del matrimonio.

Pierre Auguste Cot (1837–1883) fue un pintor francés de la escuela academicista.
Cot nació en Bédarieux, y estudió en primer lugar en l'Ecole des Beaux-Arts en Toulouse antes de mudarse a París. Estudió bajo la tutela de Leon Cogniet, Alexandre Cabanel y William-Adolphe Bouguereau. Durante la década de 1870, su popularidad comenzó a crecer con gran rapidez. En 1874 fue nombrado Chevallier de la Legión de Honor.
